Laßt euch Elena Brower nicht entgehen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall am Freitag meine Matte in mein Lala Berlin Säckchen verstauen, und mich nach Berlin begeben.
Elena, when did you start with coaching? And what was the reason for it?
E: I met Lauren Zander three years ago. She woke me up to my secrets and got me to see how i was making myself a prisoner in my own body: she then showed me how to design my life, my love, my work and my parenting. About a year into working with her, i began leading courses, online groups and working with private clients as a coach with the Handel Group.
Can you briefly tell us about the Handel Group method?
E: We create clear and high visions for each area of our lives. We assess where we currently are in relationship to that „dream“ and then we note the reasons why we don’t have it. Those reasons are the gold; they point us towards how our mind works, what we grasp and how we ascribe meaning to anything and everything. Once we know how we think, rather than be victims of our circumstances, we can begin to design our lives from our thoughts to our actions.
How has the Handel Group Coaching influenced your life and your teaching?
E: It made me more honest and loving, and it’s teaching me how to listen well.
What is the strongest tool you got out of it?
E: Listening. I always put my thoughts first and iam learning how to listen to others in new ways and be present to my life.
How do you define success?
E: A calm and steady heart.
Which person dead or alive would you like to meet the most? And why?
E: My father’s father so i could forgive him his anger.
Tell us three people who have had a serious impact on your life.
E: My son. His patience with me is astounding.
My boyfriend Bentley Meeker. He’s taught me how to communicate and how to love myself in the darkest times.
My dear friend Ally Bogard. Colleague in the yoga world. Her presence in my life makes me a better human.
What is the best advice you have ever got?
E: Slow down.
Your favourite Author?
E: I have many. I love reading Ravi Ravindra right now.
What do you like about Kundalini Yoga?
E: Kundalini Yoga brings me to the connection to the foundation of practice, to the teachers, the history and the depth of the scientific benefits of practice. It creates space and vastness inside my body and mind, and opens my heart so specifically and lovingly.
Merci, Elena!
